If you already know what you are looking at then you are already REALLY REALLY REALLY Excited!!! If you happened to just stumble upon these then be prepared to either be really REALLY EXCITED or rather indifferent. Let’s just say that we happened to get these from a guy who had been sitting on them since about 1993 and once our very limited supply is gone we have no way of getting more. They are almost twenty years old after all.
Some of us at Merch Bot made a horrible mess on themselves at the sight of these things and hoarded some for ourselves. Mostly though it was the one guy who drinks to much Rainier and sleeps with a Touch Me I’m Sick seven inch under his pillow.
These are the rare and impossible to find Northwest Bands and Labels trading cards that came out in the early 1990s and were only really sold in the Seattle area for a couple years. They were also in the super cool documentary Hype! that documents the rise and fall of the early nineties Seattle music scene, a.k.a. the grunge years. Hint, it was probably a little different if you were living up here than if you were in Minnesota.
Some of the cards that can be found among the three additions are northwest legends: Earth, Gas Huffer, Supersuckers, Mudhoney, Tad, The Sonics (the ultimate garage band not the shitty and no longer existent basket ball team), and Jimi Hendrix to just name a few. So if you know a music nerd or are a music nerd buy the whole set of three volumes. Once we are out of these they are never coming back.
This is the second of three volumes and the first one of the series that comes in a fancy shmansy plastic case.
