Owls are pretty awesome.

They can turn their heads almost all the way around. They can fly nearly silently. They eat their enemies whole and cough up their bones for 3rd graders to dissect. They deliver mail for wizards.

O Rly?, you might ask.

Owls don’t have much use for mirrors. If they want to surreptitiously check to see if someone is following them, they can swivel their heads 270 degrees. I guess they could check themselves out and make sure they still look scholarly and wise.
