Having run afoul of several pterosaurs in my time, I’ve often pined for a sign that told you when you were wandering into prehistoric danger.

As it stands, the most likely signal that you’ve wandered into a Pterodactyl Crossing is going to be the bone-chilling SCREEEEEEEEE that cuts through the air moments before you’re carried away by giant talons to be the dinner of a flying death machine.

Sounds like fun, right? Not always!

Pterodactyls used to be a lot of fun to be around, until they got word that they weren’t technically considered dinosaurs because of they way they stand. Now they’re just crabby and they never want to play air hockey anymore. Don’t be such a drag, Pterodactyls.
